Jewellery trends for summer 2023
Trend alert! These are the festival trends we'll be seeing in the summer of 2023
Festival tickets are selling out fast and the countdown to sunny holidays has begun: summer is just around the corner. It’s time to take our bright and breezy outfits out of the closet and add summery items to our jewellery collections. That's why we have created a list of all summer jewellery trends that should form part of your collection. Spoiler alert: these trends all revolve around the theme of freedom and positivity. Take notes!
Bohemian jewellery and Ibiza looks
The Bohemian lifestyle symbolises an independent and carefree lifestyle. And that’s exactly the vibe we want to embrace this summer: travelling, enjoying life and simply celebrating being alive. How is this embodied in a jewellery trend? Bohemian jewellery is characterised by its use of natural materials: feathers, fabric ribbon bracelets (i.e.: festival wristbands) and crocheted items. Knotted and woven items also fit in perfectly with this Bohemian jewellery trend, such as an Ibiza anklet made with Miyuki beads.
Body jewellery for the win
The trends for summer 2023 are not just confined to your wrists, neck and ears. This year, body jewellery is also included in the festival trends. Hip chains will be very popular this coming season, for instance, and long necklaces and the above-mentioned anklets will be featuring heavily during festivals. Cowboy hats, bags and telephone cases will also be decorated with stylish straps. After all, we don’t want to lose our valuable belongings while we’re dancing ;-).
Festival trends: bold and colourful
This summer, the more colour the better! This includes all the bold colours you can imagine. These colours look their best in a chunky and eye-catching design. Go for funky polymer bead necklaces, acrylic or bracelets made from ribbon (yes, they’re back again). Just like last spring, you can add more body to your colourful statement looks by stacking items. Create a chunky look with a colourful faceted bead bracelet, a ribbon wristband and a cheerful woven Miyuki bracelet, for instance. In addition, these sets look really cute on a jewellery display pad.
Just like last season, floral items are still hot this summer. This season, they can be big and bold, just like the other festival trends above. How about acrylic hair clips with a colourful floral print to keep festival hairstyles in place or chunky acrylic earrings with yellow flowers? The more subtle floral items, such as the meaningful Birth Flower jewellery items, can also be combined beautifully with the other trends for summer 2023. What trends are you going for this summer?
