This is how our DQ Greek ceramic beads are made
Our Greek ceramic beads are produced in a workshop in Greece. All the beads are unique because they are made by hand and this is precisely what makes our Greek ceramic beads so charming! The ceramic products are made from natural clay that originates from Greece. Greek ceramics are characterised by the strength and high quality of the clay. As the beads are made by hand one by one, it is a lengthy and expensive process. Once the beads have been shaped, the clay is fired at a high temperature. This makes the beads so hard that they are perfect for use in making jewellery. Colour is added to the beads with a layer of glass paint that is also painted on by hand. This expensive and exclusive glass paint is made from a natural component. Not only does it add a fantastic colour to the beads but it also gives them their characteristic shimmer and an extra layer of protection.
