DIY – Tip for fine belcher chain

What do you need:

• Belcher chain

• Artistic wire

• Tool nose pliers

• Jewellery pliers

• Round nose pliers

Step 1:
Cut a piece of artistic wire about 15 centimetres long.

Step 2:
Use the tool nose pliers to make a small loop at one end of the wire.

Step 3:
Make another loop at the other end, but leave about one centimetre of space between them to create a small middle section.

Step 4:
Insert one end through the last link of the belcher chain and pull it through to the centre of the loop in the middle section.

Step 5:
Slide a jump ring onto the other end and pull it through to the centre of the opposite loop.

Step 6:
Cut off one end, but leave enough to finish it neatly. Don’t cut the wire too short.

Step 7:
Hold the side with the jump ring using needle-nose pliers and wrap the remaining end around the centre of the spacer bead.

Step 8:
Cut off the excess piece of artistic wire.
